Lakota East High School Teacher Indicted on Sexual Battery Charges

Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that Justin Daniel Dennis, age 42, of West Chester, and a teacher at Lakota East High School, has been indicted on multiple counts of Sexual Battery following an extensive criminal investigation.

Dennis was initially arrested on August 4, 2025, on one count of Sexual Battery after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced. On August 29, 2025, a Butler County Grand Jury indicted Dennis on eight (8) counts of Sexual Battery (F3).

The investigation determined that the victim reported an ongoing sexual relationship with Dennis, who at the time served as her teacher and Hope Squad mental health advisor during the 2021–2022 school year.

Dennis voluntarily turned himself in at the Butler County Jail at approximately 3:00 p.m. following the indictment.

Sheriff Jones stated:

“This case highlights the trust placed in educators and mentors, and the betrayal that occurs when that trust is violated. We will continue to stand with victims and pursue justice wherever these crimes occur.”

The case is now being handled by the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office.
