Injury Crash Under Investigation in Reily Township
Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that on Friday, February 27, 2026, at approximately 7:30am, Butler County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Millville-Oxford Road and Booth Road in Reily Township for a reported injury crash.
Upon arrival, deputies determined that the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team (S.T.A.R.T.) was needed to respond and conduct a comprehensive investigation.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a pickup truck traveled left of center and collided head-on with a semi-tractor trailer. The driver of the pickup truck sustained serious injuries and was transported by medical helicopter to UC Medical Center for treatment.
Initial findings suggest that wet roadway conditions may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
Millville-Oxford Road at Booth Road will remain closed for approximately the next hour while crews work to clear the scene, as the semi-tractor trailer is currently overturned.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
