ILLEGAL ALIEN CHARGED WITH ENDGANGERING CHILDREN DETAINED BY I.C.E.

Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that on September 9, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Butler County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 1500 block of Biscayne Drive in St. Clair Township on a welfare check.

A caller reported a small child was seen getting off a school bus unsupervised. The complainant walked the child to his residence and, after going inside, discovered the child’s caregiver unresponsive and could not wake him.

Upon deputies’ arrival, they were greeted by multiple small children. After repeated announcements, a male subject—the children’s uncle—was eventually located asleep in a back bedroom.

Further investigation revealed the residence was extremely unsafe for children:

• A white powdery chemical was found on the floor with children’s fingerprints in it.

• Fecal matter covered the walls.

• Insects were flying and crawling throughout the home.

• No food was located in the refrigerator or cabinets.

• Trash, dirty diapers, and more fecal matter littered the floors.

• No clean clothes, bedding, or designated sleeping areas were found for the children.

Detectives and Children Services were contacted. The children’s mother was located and admitted she was aware of the conditions in the home, stating her brother and sister were supposed to care for the children while she worked, but “they never do.” Children Services placed the children with responsible adults.

As a result of the investigation, the following arrests were made:

• Adamaris Llamile Gutierrez, 24, charged with Endangering Children (M1)

• Christopher Gutierrez Perez, 18, charged with Endangering Children (M1)

Further investigation revealed that Perez is in the United States illegally from Guatemala. With the assistance of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Perez is also being held on an ICE detainer in addition to local charges.

“It’s horrible the condition these children were living in. We appreciate our citizens that see something and say something,” states Sheriff Jones
