February 19, 2026
EMERGENCY RESPONSE SERVICES UNIT (ERS) HAS TEAM ASSEMBLED AND EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER (EOC) MOBILIZED FOR POSSIBLE SEVERE WEATHER EVENT THIS EVENING
Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports, with a possible severe weather event looming, the Emergency Response Services Unit (ERS) has assembled a team, and if necessary, is prepared for an immediate response for any weather-related incident in the Butler County community.
In addition, to our preparedness for turbulent weather, the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be fully operational contingent upon this potential weather development moving through our area Thursday February 19, 2026.
“We urge our Butler County citizens to stay vigilant and always be prepared for an emergency related weather event. But, take comfort in knowing, our ERS and EOC personnel are committed to a swift response to assist whenever and wherever needed,” states Sheriff Jones.
