Butler County Sheriff’s Office Opening Jail Lobby Warming Center and Activating Emergency Operations Center

Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that, due to the most recent forecasted inclement weather, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office will open the Jail Lobby Warming Center and activate the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be opened and fully operational on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

The Jail Lobby Warming Center will be open and available to the public beginning at 6:00 p.m. this evening, Friday, January 23, 2026, and will be located in the jail lobby at 705 Hanover Street, Hamilton, Ohio.

If an individual is experiencing an emergency, they are urged to contact the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center.

Calls will be immediately transferred to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) as needed.

The EOC will be in direct communication with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Services Team (ERS). The highly trained ERS Team will be on duty and ready for an immediate response to any emergency that may occur during this next round of possible adverse weather. Additional patrol deputies will also be on standby to ensure a more efficient response to those in need.

“We may get a round of significant accumulation. It’s better to be prepared for an immediate response by highly trained, at-the-ready first responders, such as our ERS Team, if needed, for our Butler County community,” stated Sheriff Jones.
