Large Scale Meth Lab Located In Garage In Morgan Township
Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that around 7:30 PM yesterday, an anonymous tip led undercover agents to 5821 Layhigh Road in Morgan Township where a large meth lab was being operated. A search warrant was executed and agents found 3 children residing along with chemicals and supplies to manufacture methamphetamine. They also confiscated guns and other drug paraphernalia.
The children were removed from the home by Butler County Children Services. “The chemicals used to make these dangerous drugs are extremely toxic and children should be nowhere near them,” Lt. Lance Bunnell said.
Paul Ritter, 47 year old male was charged with manufacturing drugs, a felony of the 1st degree and possession of drugs, felony of the 2nd degree. John Ritter, 50 year old male was charged with possession of drugs, a felony of the 5th degree. Linda Ritter 57 year old female was charged with permitting drug abuse and Ammy Bingle 38 year old female was charged with 3 counts of child endangering, a misdemeanor of the 1st degree.
