BURN Taskforce Arrests Local Man in Heroin Investigation

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announces the arrest of Raymond Vincent Marshall, age 41, of Sipple Avenue, Hamilton, after he was found to be in possession of 3 ounces of heroin. The arrest took place on Saturday evening, 09-29-2012, by members of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Undercover Regional Narcotics (BURN) Taskforce. Sheriff Richard K. BURN Taskforce Discovers Meth Lab, Three Arrested

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that an investigation by the Butler County Sheriff’s Regional Narcotics (BURN) Taskforce has led to the arrest of three people last night in connection with a meth lab operation. The task force investigation led to a traffic stop of a vehicle in front of 6801 Hamilton-Mason Road, West Chester, which location happened to be the residence of one of the car’s occupants. BURN Taskforce Cracking Down on Prescription Drug Abuse

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports the conclusion of a month long narcotics investigation into a Hamilton man on probation. The Butler County Sheriff’s Regional Narcotics (BURN) Taskforce received information that Richard D. Mincher of Parkamo Avenue, in Hamilton, was selling Hydromorphone (Dilaudid), Oxycodone pills, and other prescription medication.

During the investigation, agents enlisted the help of Inspector David Gross from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. It was found that Mincher was flying to Florida each month to obtain the pills to allegedly sell locally. BURN Taskforce Executes Two Search Warrants/Seizes Heroin

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports the conclusion of a multi-month narcotics investigation into two Hamilton men. For the past several months, the Butler County Sheriff’s Regional Narcotics (BURN) Taskforce has been receiving information that Joshua Short, of Kahn Avenue, in Hamilton, was selling large amounts of Heroin, within Butler County. The BURN taskforce began an investigation and soon learned that a second man, William Barr, of Edison Avenue, in Hamilton, may also be involved.

During the investigation, agents observed Short and Barr drive separate cars, in tandem with one another, to the Dayton area to obtain heroin. On 1-4-2012, agents observed what appeared to be another trip to Dayton, to obtain heroin. Soon after Barr and Short’s return to Short’s residence, agents executed a search warrant. Both men were inside the residence along with more than 85 grams of heroin. Both men were taken to the Butler County Correctional Complex. A second search warrant was executed at Short’s mother’s residence, on Eaton Road, in Wayne Township.

Short was charged with Possession of Drugs, a felony 1, and faces a mandatory 3 years in prison. Additional charges may be added at the Grand Jury. He is currently being held in the Butler County Correctional Complex. Barr was booked into the jail on a warrant but will be presented to the Grand Jury for a direct indictment on Possession of Drugs, a felony 1, and face a mandatory 3 years in prison.

Call for Life Squad Ends In Arrest

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports the arrest of a Hamilton man that began with a life squad call.

On 12-21-2011, at about 7:20 p.m., Butler County Sheriff’s Deputies responded, along with St. Clair life squad, to 2318 Hamilton Eaton Road, lot 36, for a “non-breather” call.
