Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that on August 5, 2012, at approximately 1605 hours, Deputies along with the Milford Township Fire Department, with the assistance of Oxford and Seven Mile Fire were dispatched to the area of S.R. 73 east of S.R. 177 in Milford Twp. for a fatal accident involving a pickup truck.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the male driver of the pickup while driving eastbound on S.R. 73, went off the left side of the road and hit a culvert. The vehicle flipped into the air and landed right side up in the ditch. The male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The female passenger was transported to Atrium hospital where she was pronounced deceased approximately an hour later. Cause of the accident is still under investigation and names are held pending notification
