Sheriff’s Office Seeking Help to Identify/Locate Suspect
The Butler County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to identify and locate a suspect in a recent Aggravated Burglary and Assault that occurred in a remote area of Oxford Township. On July 9, at about 1:45 pm, a female residing on Indian Creek Road, Oxford Township, reported that she encountered a white male, appearing to be in his mid 20’s to mid 30’s, with brown hair, a mustache, and wearing a camo shirt and blue jeans, armed with a knife, standing inside her house. She stated that the suspect attacked her, took her to the ground and got on top of her. She was able to fight him off, broke free from him, and ran to an upstairs room where she locked herself in and was able to call 9-1-1. Deputies responded and searched the immediate area for the suspect, but were not able to locate him. The victim was transported by Oxford Life Squad to McCullough Hyde Hospital, Oxford, for treatment of lacerations to her hands sustained in the ordeal.

With the help of a sketch artist, Investigators have now come up with the attached sketch of the suspect. Again, he is described as a white male, in his 20’s – 30’s, with brown hair and a mustache.
