The Human Resources unit of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office:

  • maintains and organizes all personnel and medical files for employees
  • ensures that worker’s compensation claims, Family Medical Leave Act, light duty assignments, employee benefits and health insurance, are processed effectively
  • resolves any related problems or employee issues
  • is responsible for risk management and benefits
  • recruits, selects and processes new employees
  • prepares all payroll functions, including employee accrual balances and leave time records
  • audits employee time-sheets for hours worked, accuracy and entry
  • maintains, prepares and processes payroll and payroll budgets for all organizational personnel
  • process all employee Payroll Adjustments in reference to step increases, account changes, termination amounts, etc.
  • ensures compliance with the Butler County Auditors and O.R.C regulations
