Human Resources / Payroll
The Human Resources unit of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office:
- maintains and organizes all personnel and medical files for employees
- ensures that worker’s compensation claims, Family Medical Leave Act, light duty assignments, employee benefits and health insurance, are processed effectively
- resolves any related problems or employee issues
- is responsible for risk management and benefits
- recruits, selects and processes new employees
- prepares all payroll functions, including employee accrual balances and leave time records
- audits employee time-sheets for hours worked, accuracy and entry
- maintains, prepares and processes payroll and payroll budgets for all organizational personnel
- process all employee Payroll Adjustments in reference to step increases, account changes, termination amounts, etc.
- ensures compliance with the Butler County Auditors and O.R.C regulations
