Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that on Tuesday, November 10th around 6 AM, B.U.R.N. (Butler County Regional Narcotics) Taskforce and the United States Marshals Service S.O.F.A.S.T. (Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Taskforce) joined efforts and conducted a county-wide sweep for outstanding drug-related warrants.
“These arrests are the result of several lengthy investigations into the heroin epidemic. We worked well together to make this a success,” stated Sergeant Jason Owens.
The Sheriff’s Office conducts quite a few warrant sweeps each year with a high success rate. “This is a necessity”, said the Sheriff. “If you have a debt to pay, someone has to collect it. Tuesday morning was a great accomplishment in doing just that. I am very proud of these agents and appreciate the assistance of the Marshals.
