Edgewood Elementary School
Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports a 5th grade student at Edgewood Elementary School reported she was inappropriately touched by a substitute teacher. The student alleges the teacher had touched her buttocks. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer and the Edgewood School Administrator’s launched an immediate investigation. Detectives were called in to investigate this allegation. The substitute teacher is not cooperating, requesting an Attorney. At this time there are no criminal charges pending further investigation and consultation with the Prosecutor’s Office. Edgewood School Officials advised the substitute teacher in question will no longer return to their school district.
