Liberty Twp. Woman Charged With Animal Cruelty
Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Dog Wardens responded to 228 Ringling St. in Countryside Mobile Home Park for a complaint of several cats living in deplorable conditions. Upon arrival the Deputy Dog Warden spoke with Carla Lloyd, who advised she would catch feral/outside cats and put them in her trailer so she could take them to the animal shelter, but never had time. Upon further investigation the Deputy Dog Warden discovered 7 cats, 4 of them were inside medium wire dog cages. The other 3 cats were running inside the trailer with floors covered with empty opened cans of cat food and large piles of soiled cat litter.
“The living conditions of these animals were not fit for man nor beast, just deplorable, this will not be tolerated.” Said the Sheriff.
