The suspect, 19 year old Andrew Tyler Chilton of Middletown, was arrested for cruelty to a companion animal – a 5th degree felony. Sheriff Jones states, “This is one of the most heinous acts of cruelty I have seen in this county. I’m proud of the Deputy Dog Wardens for their diligent work and getting this guy locked up. Supervisor Merbs will work with the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office during this investigation process which may lead to additional charges.
