Butler County Sheriff’s BURN Taskforce Raids Middletown Drug House
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics (BURN) taskforce along with the Butler County Regional SWAT team raided a Middletown residence in the pre-dawn hours of March 26, 2015. The residence, located at 704 Elwood Street, was part of a lengthy methamphetamine drug investigation carried out by the BURN taskforce.
During the raid, BURN agents arrested Michael Chappel, age 41, and seized approximately 2 ounces of “Ice” methamphetamine, 2 handguns, marijuana, a motor vehicle, over $3,000.00, and drug paraphernalia. Chappel was charged with Trafficking in Drugs, a felony 2, and Possession of Drugs, a felony 2. BURN agents will be requesting additional charges on Chappel at Grand Jury.
