Dangerous Chemicals Located Where Children Live

Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that yesterday at approximately 4 PM, Butler County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies, Butler County Probation and B.U.R.N. (Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Taskforce) responded to 2840 Scott Road in Milford Township and conducted a search in which they discovered chemicals used to manufacture meth inside the residence.  “We found a lot of extremely dangerous chemicals that could have been a recipe for disaster, so it is a good thing we found it in time. We actually had Milford Township emergency crews staged near the scene for the concern that one of the tanks used to make the drugs would explode. This was a very dangerous situation for everyone,” said Sergeant Mike Hackney.  There were two children and another adult in the residence at the time of the search.
