Undercover Drug Agents Spend Day Making Multiple Arrests
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports undercover agents from the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics (BURN) Task Force were quite active May 08, 2014 with three separate investigations netting four arrests (including an inmate just as he was being released, and his mother) and the seizure of thousands of dollars-worth of illegal drugs (heroin, crack cocaine, and ICE Methamphetamine), 1 vehicle, a handgun, and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. Following is a synopsis of the daily activity:
- Around 12 am, with assistance from City of Hamilton Vice Unit, agents executed a search warrant at 872 Gordon Smith Blvd #6, Hamilton, Ohio. Arrested was Keith Goldsmith age 35 of the same address, charged with Felony Possession of Drugs. Agents seized ¾ ounce of crack cocaine and ¼ ounce heroin, other items of drug paraphernalia and a 2006 Dodge Charger. Agents anticipate additional charges in the future.
- Around 5 pm, a search warrant was conducted at 1950 Harvard Street, which netted the seizure of 4 ounces of “ICE” (Methamphetamine), a handgun and other items of drug paraphernalia. Arrested was Shawna N. Mason, age 31 of the same address with multiple felony drug charges.
- Around 8:10 pm, BURN agents were alerted that an inmate was being released from Butler County Jail and had asked his mother to bring heroin to him when picking him up. William E. Hoadley, age 24, of 7943 Clovernook Ave., Cincinnati, and his mother Robin C. Kelley, age 54 of the same address, were both arrested less than two minutes from the time he was released from jail. Both were charged with Felony Possession of Drugs. Seized was approximately 1 gram of heroin, a syringe and other items of drug paraphernalia.
