Driver of Fatal Crash in Hanover Township Identified
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that Traffic Investigators believe they have determined the driver in Saturday night’s fatal, single-vehicle crash in Hanover Township that claimed the life of 19-year-old Hamilton resident Benjamin Flick. The preliminary investigation indicates Sean Van Dyne, age 18, of Hamilton, was driving the 2009 Chevrolet that crashed around 10:20 pm on Stahlheber Road near the intersection of Morman Road.

The crash also resulted in injuries to two passengers, Mark Barr, age 18, of Florida, and Javon Harrison, age 18, of Dayton. Flick was pronounced deceased at the scene. Van Dyne, Barr, and Harrison were all transported from the crash site by Air Care and taken to University Hospital, Cincinnati. Butler County START (Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team) is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
