Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics (BURN) Taskforce Conducts Secret Indictment Drug Warrant Round-Up
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announces that the multi-jurisdictional BURN Taskforce completed a lengthy undercover operation today. Secret indictments were handed down against several individuals from multiple jurisdictions throughout Butler County.
The intent of the undercover investigation was to target marijuana, prescription drug and heroin abusers.

In all, twenty four suspects from Middletown, Hamilton, Fairfield, Liberty Township, West Chester Township and Preble County were indicted. Law Enforcement Officers from the BURN Taskforce, the Sheriff’s Office and all of the aforementioned jurisdictions assisted in the operation.
Sheriff Jones was extremely pleased with the operation and with the mutual cooperation between all of the Law Enforcement Agencies involved. Sheriff Jones said “These types of drugs are highly addictive and have created significant increases in robberies, burglaries and assaults. Individuals addicted to these drugs commit these types of crimes to fuel their habits. We have to be vigilant in our efforts to keep our communities safe and we have to work together to achieve that common goal.”
The secret indictment roundup has netted 18 individuals today and information developed throughout the day led to a search warrant at 105 North Seventh Street in the City of Hamilton where approximately six grams of heroin, marijuana, pills, needles, scales and several hundred dollars in cash were seized in the raid.
