Traffic Crash in Milford Twp. Sends Four (4) to Hospitals
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that a crash in Milford Township early today resulted in four (4) individuals being transported to area hospitals. Shortly after midnight this morning, Deputies and emergency rescue crews responded to the 1100 block of Somerville-Jacksonburg Road (State Route 744) for a single-vehicle crash.

The preliminary report indicates that Cody Wallen, age 19, of Jacksonburg Road, was driving a 2000 Chevy pickup truck westbound on State Route 744. The vehicle first traveled off the right side of the roadway, the driver apparently over-corrected, and the vehicle then went off the left side of the roadway in a rollover crash. Wallen was ejected from the vehicle. He was originally transported by squad to The Atrium Hospital in Middletown, from where he was later taken by Care Flight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. A passenger, Timothy Isaac, Jr., age 18, of Highland Ave., New Miami, was also ejected. He was transported from the scene by Air Care to University Hospital in Cincinnati. Passengers Donald Ellis, III, age 15, from Jacksonburg Road, and Brannon McDaniel, age 16, of Augspurger Road, New Miami, were both transported by Oxford Squad to McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford.
The crash remains under investigation by the Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team (S.T.A.R.T.). Initial indications are that the vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
