Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that on February 27, 2013, at approximately 2100 hours, Deputies along with the Madison Twp. Fire and Life were dispatched to the 5200 block of Elk Creek Road in Madison Twp., Butler County, for a single car, single occupant fatality.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Kenneth Lakes, age 81, of the Hamilton, Ohio, area was south bound on Elk Creek Road driving a 2008 Pontiac. Kenneth Lakes traveled off the west side of the roadway, coming to rest on its top. Kenneth Lakes was pronounced deceased on scene. At this time the cause of the accident is unknown and is currently under investigation.
