Two Dead After Single Vehicle Crash in St. Clair Township

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports two persons are dead after a single vehicle crash just before 4:00 am this morning in St. Clair Township. Preliminary reports indicate the vehicle was northbound in the 2800 block of Eaton Road and apparently failed to negotiate a curve as it neared the intersection with Hogue Road. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a small clump of trees. The driver and single passenger were both ejected, and were both pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner’s Office. The roadway was shut down between Beissinger and Hogue Roads for a while for cleanup and investigative purposes, but was re-opened around 7 am.
