Threats of School Violence Lead to Arrest of Three Teens
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that three teens, all age 17, from the Edgewood School District are in custody this afternoon after making threats of violence at Edgewood High School on Trenton Road in St. Clair Township. Earlier today, High School Officials contacted their School Resource Officer (a Butler County Sheriff’s Deputy) with concerns over a series of “Tweats” they had seen indicating possible school violence involving assault rifles, shotguns, and explosives. Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators quickly responded and worked closely with school personnel to identify the individuals involved.
