Two Arrested At Fairfield Township Meth Lab
Sheriff Richard K. Jones announces the arrest of Ronnie D. Fields, 53 of Fairfield Township as well as Joshua T. Owen, 30 of Trenton after Agents of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Undercover Regional Narcotics Taskforce (BURN) executed a raid at 7043 Beagle Court in Fairfield Township at approximately 8:00 PM on Thursday evening (06-14-2012).
Inside the residence agents located a functioning meth lab and were able to dismantle and neutralize the production process. This was done by members of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) who have attended specialized training in the identification, dismantling and neutralization of meth lab operations. The investigation also revealed discarded remnants from a recent lab as well as chemicals, glassware and literature on manufacturing processes.
Ronnie Fields is charged through Butler County Area II Court with Illegal Manufacture of Drugs a Felony of the 2nd Degree and Illegal Assembly or Possession of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Drugs a Felony of the 3rd Degree. Joshua Owen is also charged through Butler County Area II Court with Illegal Assembly or Possession of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Drugs a Felony of the 3rd Degree.
