Arrest Made, Charges Filed in May 2 Fatal Motorcycle Crash
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that the juvenile driver involved in the May 2, 2012, crash in Milford Township that killed a motorcyclist has been arrested, and his parents have also been charged in connection with the incident. The crash occurred May 2 around 7 am at the intersection of State Route 177 and Harris Road in Milford Township. Donald Herbst, age 25 of Camden, was southbound on State Route 177 operating a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle. A 1997 Ford pickup truck, driven by Andrew Hensley, age 17, of Milford Township was westbound on Harris Road, and entered onto 177, colliding with the motorcycle. Herbst was flown from the scene to University Hospital by medical helicopter, but died from his injuries later that evening.

Andrew Hensley, age 17, was arrested this morning by Sheriff’s Deputies, and is charged with Delinquency by Reason of Vehicular Homicide, Failure to Yield from a Stop Sign, and Driving Under Suspension. He was taken to the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center. His parents, Larry Hensley and Joni Hensley, have both been charged with Wrongful Entrustment of a Motor Vehicle, and were issued citations to Area 1 Court.
