Mexico owes the U.S.A.!
Happy New Year! I had a little time off during the holidays and got to thinking (which often worries criminals) about the recent changes in federal legislation regarding homeland security.
It occurred to me that in all this new legislation, nothing has been mentioned about holding Mexico’s President Vicente Fox and his country responsible for failing to secure the Mexican borders. It appears to me that he is doing little or nothing to stop anyone in his country, or anyone entering his country, from freely crossing Mexico’s border into the United States.
Because of this, it seems to me that the United States should make Mexico fiscally responsible for the increased expense of securing our southern border and compensation to the victims of crimes committed by persons who came illegally into the United States through their “open†borders.
To accomplish this, I feel the United States government should seize Mexico’s assets located in the United States and use the money to pay for having to increase OUR border security, compensate the victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens who came in through (or from) Mexico, and to reimburse our jails for housing them!
What do you think about this idea?
A plan such as that would surely offend most of the liberal Californians and Arizonians along with the big businesses that employee these illegal aliens. Becoming an American citizen is a legal process and those who help or harbor illegal aliens should also be accountable for their actions (such as Wells Fargo, the entire state of California, and our own government for providing health care). These are the things that need to be addressed more often and I’m glad to support a sheriff that has a conviction to confront such explosive issues such as this. Wouldn’t illegal aliens that cross into America soil and commit crimes fall under a terrorist act? How does the legal system define what terrorism? Lastly America’s voted several years ago on English as our primary language, why are big businesses catering to the massive amount of illegal aliens by have Spanish on more and more commodities
I live in Ohio and have been doing everything in my power to bring illegal immigration to the forefront of my friends and neighbors.
The most disturbing thing I have come across is the support for amnesty for these illegal aliens by our Ohioan Senators. I have spoken more than a few times with their office staff. Everytime, they have told me that Senator Voinivich and Senator Dewine are in total support of the John McCain and Kennedy guest-worker bill.
I feel, that we have been completely betrayed by our government, by both parties.
I feel that the current administrations (federal) stated proposal. To secure our borders by 2011, is rediculous.
Our sheriff appears to understand. And differentiate between illegal aliens. And, those who come to our country, to participate in our dream. To contribute, to our great nation.
Bottom line…illegals do great harm.
(They drive down pay for americans.) They are only here for personal gain. They don’t contribute.
The money Sheriff Jones has been calling for. How many children could it have fed. Or, elderlies heat could it have paid.
With illegals filling our jails. Will there be room, when someone threatens the security of YOUR family?
If for some reason you disagree. Name one elected official. Who has worked this hard for YOU?

I have lived in Hamilton 36 years of my life (and i’m only 37) untill
last july when i got married and moved to Franklin,but my father stills lives here and my daughter attends Hamilton High and when i come back HOME into town i can not believe the changes in that short amount of time There are Mexican grocery stores and bars on every corner, whats really going on ,
My father was in a bad car wreck last Oct, 05 when a drunk mexican who had (no licsens or insurance spoke no english,yeah right, says he could not read or write never been to school in his life), but could purchase a vehicle from a car auction in Indiana and have it tagged and drive it drunk and run a stop sign
Come to find out he is also A ILLEGAL ALIEN, and to the woman who says this dehumanizes them let me put it to you politley , who cares ,they are what they are! , go through what i have been through and see if it changes your mind in any way.
Our country has made so many changes for these people every where you go or call they will ask spanish or english,
They come here they should LEARN our language and live by our rules (no favoritizm)
My father served two terms in vietnam for his country and never came home with this many injuries and to be 63 years old and only 2 blocks from home
My father was CUT out of his vehicle and airlifted to UC,mind you this wreck happend on Oct 16th, 2005 on 8th and cambell at 2:00 on a sunday afternoon. They had to cut him out of his 2005 ford tarus and airlifted to UC, where he spent 2weeks in SICU and then another 1 1/2months in the hospital and rehab centers where he had to lean to wallk all over again,
where he had a broke left arm that now has a metal plate and 8 screws in it, broke ribs that were seperated from HIS sternum broke clavical, broke hip and pelvis a collasped lung and a bruised heart
that was beating out of control, i could go on and on with other injuries and how discussed Iam with how Hamilton has changed, My family and I have been to every trail and hearing that this Illegal Alien has had and continue to do so
He is finally due for sentencing on feb 21st
But for what he has put my father and my family through his sentecing is not enough.
I and my whole family support the Sheriff of Butler County on all his stands and beieves on these Illegal Aliens Issues and anything else he plans to do to
bring Hamilton back to the way it use to be.

Don’t ride Californians too much. You can get angry at the politicians who allow all the illegals in, but most of the plain folk in California are VERY TIRED OF THE ILLEGAL ALIEN problem. I recently went to a rally at a day laborer site. The anti-illegal people outnumbered the other side. There were anti illegal people who drove for 3 hours to go to this rally!.
Good on ya sheriff for billing the Feds. I would go a step further and confiscate all personal and real property (houses, cars, etc) sell them at auction and divy the proceeds between constituents and local governments.
Any way of spreading this idea of billing the Feds spreading to every county in the country?

Sir I totally agree, Mexico and the Mexican Government should be held accountable. Matter of fact our Senators should be too. Last year the State Department kept giving the Mexican government Millions, to Help. Small Business, Banks, ect. Now all the Money that was sent to the Mexican Government should be stop. In Stead, it should be used for enforcement of our laws.
I am proud of you Sheriff Jones, very proud. Between you and Sheriff Beck. I see, that we have the Best in the State of Ohio.
You sure you wouldn’ consider running for one of the Senators Places. We need a Man like you, to represent the American Citizen.
Sheriff, you are on target. It should be a source of embarassment that Texas, Arizona, North Carolina, and the other “big” immigration problem states didn’t come up with the idea first.
Just keep in mind, everyone, that the point isn’t to get $$ out of the federal government (taxpayer), it’s to reduce or eliminate the problem.
FYI, here in Atlanta, we have a car insurance agency that has signage advertising “Mexican DL O.K.!”

Just heard your interview on FNC, and I have to say that I am glad you are bringing this into the public venue.
As a Texan and a native San Antonian, I have to say that I am absolutely fed up with illegal aliens and their lawbreaking. I don’t care about sob stories designed to excuse their deliberate flaunting of the law.
However, I have to say that this is not the responsibility of the Mexican government to physically prevent their people from leaving Mexico - we don’t need another East Germany. It IS the responsibility of the U.S. to protect our borders, and if that means building walls, using high tech detection devices, and even shooting, then I say YES!
There are a great many immigrants who follow the rules and come here legally, and these illegals are hurting them, too. When you knowingly enter this country illegally, you have no rights. And we have no obligation beyond minimum human decency and kicking your butts back out as quickly as possible.
Sheriff……..I am in complete aggreement with you. My wife and I are residents of Texas and understand very well what you and you County are going through. If you need my support in any way, my voice is available, if I lived closer I would be available.
Our family just watched your interview on Fox & Friends today, February 1, 2006. It is always uplifting to see someone in authority speaking out in defense of what is right and just in our country and not worry about being “politically correct”. We live in southeast Michigan, and no doubt have the same problem throughout Michigan that you have in Ohio with illegal ailens. However, we, obviously, have no one with your courage here in Michigan that will speak out. We will support you by contacting the President, and hope that other states will now follow your lead and stir the Administration to take some real action about the illegal ailen problem.
I think it is totally ridiculous to blame all of a person’s problem on the fact that there are people in this country illegally; whether they be Mexican, Chinese and who knows from where else.
There is a bigger problem than that in this whole thing. That is, American Citizens that get drunk and drive with no license or insurance and cause accidents that injure or kill thousands. The problem is the same with them as with the illegals, the victim gets stuck with the bill. And there is a much greater percentage of American drunks than there are illegal ones. (Don’t get me wrong, I am not supporting drunk driving, I think it is a shame and a disgrace no matter who does it.) Then there are the Americans that refuse to work for less than $10 or $15 per hour so they sit on welfare, costing the hard working tax payers millions. Or those that break the law and sit in prison for years costing the taxpayers more millions.
I saw the Sheriff on TV today, talking about the illegals in his jail. The figures he gave tell me that the number is less than 1%. The only reason he is not complaining about the other 99+% is because he is getting paid by the hard working taxpayers to take care of them.
Most of the Mexicans that come here would gladly do it legally if it didn’t take so long to do it. On the other hand all people in this country have to do is decide that want to go to Mexico, fill out a few papers and go. American companies don’t want to pay decent wages, so they move to Mexican and exploit the Mexican Citizens.
All the Mexican people want to do is give their families a better life. Isn’t that what NOT ONLY the “American Dream”, but the dream of every one everywhere is all about.

Thank You for this place to vent. I’ve lived in California all my life. What has been happening here for the last several years is destroying this state. First I am not a bigot which people like to think if you would deny the illegals their place in this land of milk and honey. I just feel there are legal channels they can go through to get their piece of the pie. In this state when you put your car registration sticker on you must take a razor blade and slice it all to pieces. This is to stop the illegals from stealing it. Because they cannot legally register a vehicle, (without license you can’t get insurance which is required to register) so they steal other peoples. Although I am highly skilled in many areas of manufacturing which qualifies me for supervisor level jobs, I have trouble with one qualification, I don’t speak Spanish; which is a requirement in many jobs in California. Hospitals all over the state have had to shut down due to the onslaught of illegals. The hospitals are required to treat illegals coming into emergency for free. Because of this the illegals take care of all their health problems through the emergency department. ie. Cold, flu, ear ache, etc. In the mean time legals have to wait sometimes 6 hrs. and more for real emergencies. I can’t count how many hospitals have shut their doors due to bankruptcy. The schools have been inundated to the point that they can’t pay the bills, so what they do is cite parents for unexcused absences. My daughters dog died and she missed school, unexcused $350.00, I let my son go fishing with grandparents one day, unexcused $850.00. If they are late for school $150.00 It is out of control. English speaking children are getting the short end of the stick. The teachers barely have time for them. California was #49 nation wide according to test scores. Low achievement levels for school causes them to lose bonus Fed money. It is ruining our schools and our children’s education. This is a cry for help!
Mr Jones, I heard your interview this morning on Fox and Friends and want to thank you for exemplifying the courage and fortitude it takes to bring this issue to the forefront. Without bold leaders like you, how else will the tax payers of this great country be informed ? Wake up America, this is a statewide problem. From the deep South, I commend you!

What an excellent idea! It’s great hearing someone with the courage to address this problem and offer a solution. Hopefully this would force both governments to recognize seriousness of the issue and the cost to us taxpayers. It also seems ironic how some law breaking aliens get the same privileges as law abiding citizens. As recent Ohio residents from the south, you have our complete support and wish you could represent us in Congress.
After watching you on Fox News I was so glad to finally find someone who is willing to address the border situation. I definitely think that Mexico should bear the cost of illegal aliens entering through their unsecured border. I think the idea of freezing their assets would make them know that we are serious. Our senators and representatives have failed their job of protecting our borders and addressing this issue for way too long. I have no problems with immigrants coming here legally, but I believe that the mass amount of illegal aliens coming in each year are destroying our country by putting an unnecessary financial hardship on the states and local governments. I am also concerned that people wishing to do our citizens harm have easy access to the United States from Mexico’s unsecured border. Please keep up this worthwhile cause. You are indeed my hero!

I am a conservative independent living in Dayton, Nevada near Carson City. When e.g., shopping at Walmart you can’t hardly turn down another aisle w/o seeing Latinos. I am all for LEGAL IMMIGRATION and I am not a racist. We have dear friends who are of Hispanic descent (SP). But my point is this. Try to speak English to many of these people and you will see indeed…they speak ‘ NO INGLES’. Common sense obviously tells you…” Hello !!!! you are not talking to a legal citizen here. I try this all of the time and it works almost everytime. I don’t care what nationality you are…if you aren’t here legally then you need to get back in line with the the decent people who are trying to come here legally. If you are illegal, you are a lawbreaker and a parasite to our society. I spent one tour in Vietnam fighting for my country and sometimes I ask myself…” Is this what my buddies gave their lives for ? Is this why I put my life on the line so that my government would turn a deaf ear to it’s constituents, (WHOM BY THE WAY EMPLOY THEM ) and roll out the red carpet to illegals ??? I am from Columbus, Ohio and moved to Dallas in the early 80’s. I know first hand the “ills” of illegal aliens. When people start belly aching about how they only come here to work and blah blah blah it makes me sick. Doesn’t Mexico have armed Militia at their Southern border? We have “Water Stands” so when they sneak over they won’t die. Give me a Break. I tivo’d your segman this morning and just got through watching it. What an inspiration! Thank you for your effort to bring this serious problem out in the open Sheriff Jones. We all have to pull together on this and put constant pressure on the Government. I’m hoping for the best, but unfortunately I can picture (in the near future) signs along the border saying “Welcome to the United States of Mexico.”
Sheriff R. K. Jones don’t lose that American spirit and you should seize Mexican assets in our country to pay for hosting illegals in your jail. Just like you I voted for President Bush in the last election and I am disappointed with his reluctance to station our military on the borders to back up the Border Patrol. Sheriff, I caught your spot on TV today and I had to comment about the issue. As a deputy of a sheriff’s dept on the Arizona-Mexico border I know first hand what you’re dealing with. My department deals with this issue on a daily basis and I know how much of a strain this issue can be on you and your department, as well as your community. It would be nice to have all the money that is spent on illegal immigrant health care and monies spent housing Illegal immigrant inmates. I see first hand how our community is burdened with illegal immigrants that commit property damage, littering, assaults and vehicle thefts just to mention a few. I sure wish there was an easy answer to this problem, but I’m not sure the federal government is putting a real effort into this whole thing. With the events of 911 you’d think our government would be more proactive in preventing illegal entrants into our communities.

Thank you so much for speaking out on this. I live in Los Angeles and know too well about the illegal invasion from south of the border, not to mention the mass influx of aliens from Asia and the Middle East, who initially come here legally through visas but then overstay those visas. This is a crisis! Thanks to a few government officials like yourself, we the people are finally getting some representation.
You are to be commended for speaking up on what is already a crisis, only Washington’s politicians refuse to face it. would rather be soft on it, turn their backs for personal gains. We NEED immediate clamp-down before they ruin our country! WHAT good is helping Iraq, other countries when allowing our OWN borders to be run, sneaked across at FREE WILL! Sheriff, I commend you. Should you need assistance, I am sure that you could deputize the MINUTMAN org in your area. I know I speak for all, WE ARE “STILL” WILLING TO SERVE OUR COUNTRY” Save jail space, put up chain link fence, give them pink uniforms, bologna sandwiches, make them pick up trash without pay (you are feeding and housing them, so it should be “a wash”) Local law enforcement in Ohio, like all of the Country has begun to realize, that WE must take back our Country, because the FEDS are sold out to ’special interests’, WHATEVER IN GOD’s NAME THAT MEANS.
