Unless the only other writer on this blog says so, there is no reason to assume that he has gone to the expense of traveling to Arizona to do field work on the issue at hand, as Sheriff Jones. There is no reason to believe that Sheriff Jones’ proof is doctored.
Furthermore, it is unlikely that the other writer has visited, let alone lived, anywhere in the Southwest where he would invariably experience first-hand the sort of everyday challenges that law enforcement faces. It is also improbable that he understands by first-hand experience what it is to live in a Latin country where, again, he would have to use the different albiet inoperable infrastructure of the host Latin country.
So the only other writer on this blog has leapt to an erroneous conclusion by calling Sheriff Jones a r***** b******, and it is simple for anyone to see that he has thanks to his blatant let alone lame ad hominem attack. Such an attack is generally the clearest indication that the writer is not so much thinking as emoting. His emotional frame of mind indicates further that it is unlikely that he has performed the due diligence necessary to formulate a measured and probable conclusion.

Looks like your boy bailed out of the race Sheriff!! The sad part is the rest of the candidates really are status quo as far as real and secure immigration reform goes! Looks like amenesty will prevail with this group GOD HELP US!!

I normally wouldn’t get involved in certain situations, but the illegal immigration issue is affecting us all. I still can’t understand what part of illegal people aren’t getting. Sheriff Jones and his staff have done a wonderful job dealing with this ever growing problem. What really upsets me is the comment made that, Sheriff Jones is a Racist. Thats a typical response used all to much against the law enforcement community. Normally made by people that have something to hide. If the general population, believes that illegal immigration is not a problem. Think again. They use are Hospitals as primary care givers, this creates a strain on others who need Hospitals for legit concerns. They expand are class room sizes, this changes the Teacher student ratio. The most important problem is they do this at the expense of American tax payers. I figure for every forty hours I work, the first twelve hours I work pays for an Illegal Immigrant. Thats money my family could use, or better yet, other American citizens doing the right thing. Is Sheriff Jones a Racist? the answer is no. I feel the Sheriff was born to lead this county and I for one am glad his time has come. Thank you to all the Butler County Sheriffs Department, you have this citizens support for all the great work you do.

It’s great to see someone who has actually stood behind his beliefs and acted on them. Most spout off at the mouth and do nothing. I believe that Sheriff Jones is doing our country a great service, by showing that we expect everyone of every country to follow and respect OUR laws should they wish to live in OUR country. Race has nothing to do with the issue, and I am sick of hearing that brought into it. Last I saw, the “legal” American citizens were made up of all races. If we traveled or moved to another country, we would have to speak THEIR language and abide by THEIR laws. Why should the American people expect anything differently? Anyone who sees this as “racist”, well, let them move to another country. Or let them lose their job to an illegal immigrant and then make a comment. Has anyone noticed that when you now buy a product with instructions, English is not the first language listed on the pamphlet. The English side is on the back. When did we become so unimportant in our own country? Great Job Sheriff Jones!!!

I grew up in Southern Calif and lived in L.A. for 4 years. I’ve also lived in New Mexico, and now that I live in the Midwest, what’s really unfortunate is that the rest of America is oblivious to what awaits them unless the border is sealed and we begin deproting the illegal criminal alien invaders.
So Cal and NM is majority Mexican now. Ultimately their numbers will grow so high that they actually might be able to “reclaim” the western third of the U.S. as “Aztlan” and make it an extension of Mexico. About one million enter the U.S. illegally every year and the females are basically just baby machines, starting about age 12. So we will soon be outnumbered across the U.S. unless something is done. If you know what Tijuana or Juarez looks like or smells like, then you know what awaits us unless we start arresting, deporting, and repatriating these illegal criminal alien invaders.
