Locked out workers support BSSA

A few days after I ran an ad asking AK Steel to end the lock-out, I was elated to hear that the locked out members voted to send a donation to the Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association to compensate for AK threatening to pull their annual donation. I find it flabbergasting that these folks voted to send money to the BSSA in spite of the fact that they are locked out from their jobs.

You can read about it here.

    Sherriff Jones,
Thank you for your support and your understanding in this matter. It has meant so much.
I am in fear still though. I am afraid for my husband to return to work in the mill. When you have watched the scabs go in and out for 8 plus months now how do you turn off the hatred that has happened between the scabs and the union workers. I am afraid some one will get seriously hurt in there and it is Ak Steels world inside those gates. You have to be able to trust your co-workers to do your job. How can we make sure there is no accidental oops inside there when the union returns?
