The most recent campaign ads have made it difficult to determine what is fact and what is fiction in regards to illegal immigration reform. It’s not difficult for me because I know the difference. In the community which I live violence has increased due to illegal aliens getting a free ride. There has also been an increase in drugs coming across the border for sale in the United States. These problems grow more and more out of control while our government just sits on their hands. Remember this in November.

I thoroughly agree that this is one of the most pressing issues for this election, but with regards to the Senate seat we will be voting on, I fear that there is no good candidate. To quote a comedian I once heard, “Republicans suck and Democrats blow”. This is particularly true on the issue of illegal immigration. DeWine (the R up for re-election) has voted for amnesty (call it what you will). The position of Brown (the D running for the seat) seems to be “DeWine did nothing to secure our borders and I can do even more nothing and do it better). I can find nothing about the positions of Duncan (the I candidate).
I almost wish you’d run for the Senate seat, but I think you’re still needed here in Butler County.
For God so loved the WHOLE world!! Even Hamilton, with Jones in it!! Human Kind deserves a chance at a good life. Innocent until proven guilty!!
There has been illegal immigrant issues in Butler County for the last 6 or 7 years, why is this now such a problem for you Sheriff Jones? Did something happen to someon in your family for you to have such a wild hair where it shouldn’t be???
In reference to Amy’s and Sara’s comments…please open your eyes. No one is saying that immigrants are unwelcome. They are trying to say that they need to do it legally. There comes a point in which government has to take a stand against it. I support Sheriff Jones and I support the stand that he is willing to take against illegal immigration. WAY TO GO SHERIFF!!
I believe a Local sheriff should be going after the crime rather than looking to the color. I also believe there are already sufficient laws on the books to address the “illegal alien” issues without creating new laws.
