Wake Up America

Due to the most recent attempt of terrorism against the U.S. it is increasingly evident that we must secure our borders. I have been speaking out about this issue since October. What will it take for America to wake up, another attack? Let your congressmen, representatives, and local officials know that we must secure our borders.

You can only scream “Terra!” for a certain period until people get tired of it. This post reminds me of Bush and his manufactured lies. Manufactured lies like his 9/11 war president image.

    Out Government knew about 9/11

Please…..this lunatic idea was tired the second time it got used.
Those who continue to blame the President for everything including Katrina, need to move on and spend some quality time in the real world.
The idea of any government being party to this before hand is ludicrous.
    Regards, Bill

A funny letter I ran across, maybe someone should write something like this to DeWine.

    The Honorable Paul S. Sarbanes
    309 Hart Senate Office Building
    Washington DC, 20510

    Dear Senator Sarbanes,

As a native Marylander and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.

My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stem from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill’s provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out.

Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I’m excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.
Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year. Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as
“in-state” tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son.

Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver’s license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age children driving my car.

If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal ( retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms,

I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance.

    Your Loyal Constituent,

    Pete McGlaughlin

Wow, unlike many regular Americans, Pete has a good job to afford health care, auto insurance, college for 2 kids, and pays a substantial amount of taxes. Congratulations.

He should be happy with his current standard of living. As an illegal, he will most likely be underpaid in a crappy job and without any benefits.

As an illegal, he is on his own if he gets hurt for the long term. Good luck at getting any quality health care from a hosptital. Psst, those visits will also ruin his good credit record.

Good luck at keeping any method of transportation and staying out of jail. Last I checked, unlicensed drivers can’t drive on public streets. He can always carpool with all the other Mexican fruit pickers or laborers.

Somehow, I doubt “Pete” would really like living life as an illegal. Although, I must admit, the fictional letter was entertaining.

Dan, you are right some Americans are not as lucky as Pete and they need help. However, we are unable to provide them assistance they may need due to the strain illegals are placing on the system.
You have a point that the life of an illegal is not that good and I don’t believe that it should be. If life as an illegal in America was as bad as life in Mexico than perhaps more people would wait there turn to come here legally. The less we give to illegals the more they will be deterred from entering the US illegally.

All i hear is how illigeals put a strain on the tax payers and the americans what about the americans that live off welfare and have 5-6 kids, live in public housing, get free rides to all welfare and doctor appointments (oh wait the tax payer legal and illegal pay for that), and don’t even try to better thier live. But thats ok they are AMERICANS!!!! So who cares right? At least illigeals work and pay their own way…. and some of them do pay taxes…. that they don’t get back…. illigeals can’t get welfare because they are illigeal but their american kids gets benefits.. if they get killed here thier families don’t get to moron for them or even have a proper funeral they get put in a box in the ground and thats it….. If Americans are worried about them not paying taxes why don’t we target the americans that get paid under the table and don’t pay taxes??????? The illigeals are hard working people maybe some of these lazy americans should adopt thier way of working…. There are jobs out there for all the people who complain that illigeals take them so why don’t they go get them….. no that would be too easy they want 20-30 dollars an hour and full benefits…. Lets face it….it ain’t the illigeals who bring down the standard of living here its the Americans themselves….

I agree with “????????” I was a Butler county medicaid worker, it is highly exaggerated how many “illegals” are getting assistance, maybe if people knew the real numbers, this would stop being an issue. The stats can be requested from the BCDJFS, they’ve already been compiled. And health care at hospitals?? After I was a county worker, I was also a financial counselor at a major cincinnati hospital (with 5 facilities- 3 of them had birthing centers) the majority of people (who we did not have a way of verifying income for) who received either free or reduced health care were legal Americans, the Hispanics usually did not ask for financial assistance and did pay their bills, once again there are stats on this and they are available. On paying taxes, look at an illegals paystub sometime, there are taxes taken out, whether or not they are sent from the employer is another thing. The illegals that are here from south of the border are not bent on terrorist activities, that’s not how they come here. Most terrorists come here legally on visas and overstay their time, they wouldn’t walk thru the desert for 3 days, night & day, and then travel in a cramped van with 14 or 15 more people without taking a break, they come in on airplanes and come right thru customs. But those people aren’t as noticeable, they stay under the radar, they look like you and me, because from the tone in Hamilton, if your skin color is tan, your not legal.

Way to go Sheriff Jones and your dept! I dont live in Ohio but boy am I proud your Americans! For all those people feeling sorry for illegals ,first of all their here illegaly, btu foremost all America needs to do some research on who really is here working and what are their intentions ? I live in Nebraska huge beef industry here the worlds largest supplier of meat processing has plants here, also our states reason for illegals precence in Nebraska. Since the presence of illegals they have shared political ideas I had never heard of like: Aztlan,Zapitistas,ms13 gangs,C.A.L.L.A.,mecha,La Raza,Aztecas,Reconquistas ect. maybe those that approve of illegals presence here may want to weigh some of that thought once you’ve researched for yourselves? Anyway thank you Sheriff Jones and your staff !!!!
