Sheriff Jones — August 4, 2006, 1:24 pm

Education and awareness

As Sheriff of Butler County, I have been actively involved in illegal alien enforcement and education since October. There is some debate on the “enforcement” of issues involving illegal aliens. I want to make it clear that my office CAN enforce state taxation violations as they pertain to illegal aliens, and we have been working with the Department of Taxation and the Bureau of Workers Compensation to do just that.

In addition, with the media’s assistance, we are sending a message to businesses and the general public to increase awareness of the problems and the consequences surrounding the issue of illegal aliens.

Recent media reports have indicated that illegal aliens living in Butler County have been finding other places to live.

Here are links to a couple of recent stories you may find interesting.

I only wish we had a sheriff like you out here in San Diego County, Mexifornia. Illegal immigration is not a victimless crime. Honest American taxpayers are the victims since we pick up the bill for education, medical care, incarceration, etc. I wish you the best of luck in your efforts. If you aspire to a bigger challenge and are not averse to mild weather, please consider a career move to San Diego.

seems to me that its all about the money, lets pretend money didnt exist what would be ur reason then?

I suppose, Francisco, that the reason you lock your doors at night is because it’s all about the money. Let’s pretend money doesn’t exist, what would be YOUR reason then?

Of course I’m being a smart aleck in using your words against you but when you have several million people that are here illegaly and legalfamilies that are already struggling to pay their own bills are put in a position to financially subsidize the illegals, hell yeah, it’s partly about the money.

BUT it’s not just about the money, it’s the fact that a CRIMINAL act occurs EVERY time a person comes into this country ILLEGALY.

It’s also about health issues related to people coming into this country without any medical screenings putting communities at a health risk.

It’s about already over crowded and financially burdened schools having to cram more kids in, having to hire bilingual teachers to accomodate the children of illegals.

I guess it’s easy to blow it off as ‘it’s just about the money’ if YOUR hand is in MY pocket. Let’s be fair and let me sponge off you and see how fast you blow it off.

Damn illegal aliens! We should also go after those Irish and Italian immigrants. Oh wait, their skin isn’t dark enough and they are not a part of the Republican talking points. Never mind.

  6. Comment by JT @ August 21, 2006, 10:52 pm

Hey Mike, it’s not a matter of being Irish, Italian or the pigmentation of the skin, it’s a matter of being a CRIMINAL because they didn’t take the LEGAL route.

Personally, I don’t care what country a person is from, Sweden, France, China, Japan or anywhere else as long as they are here legally. If they snuck in under the wire, they are a criminal and shouldn’t be here regardless of their native country or color of their skin.

Playing the race card got old a long time ago.

I’m so sick of hearing about illigeal aliens. they come to make a better life for themsleves. most of them do learn english and adapt to our way of life. If any of your family lives they way they do in their counrties you wouldn’t be so fast to want to send them back to live that way. everyone talks about the money taxes payers are having to pay for schooling these illigeal aliens what about all the money they pay into taxes and can’t claim because they are illigeal? why don’t you ask the government about that? or ask Jones if he really wants to get rid of the illigeal aliens why is it when they go to the Butler County jail as long as you have the bail money to pay they release them????? Lets get real here he don’t give a rats behind about them being illigeal or not he only wants money and headlines. I never realize how racists the people who live in butler county are and the sheriff is the head leader.

Once again to bring to the attention of those who won’t use their real names to post…..the issue is the illegal part. Just as if we went to Mexico or France, we are required to obey their immigration rules, too. Or would you prefer we all become anarchists and ignore any law we find inconvenient ?
By the by, if bail is posted, the detaining authority has no choice but to release the prisoner.
Spell checkers are always a good thing to use when you rant or rave on any subject. Makes your statements much more credible.
    Just a thought.

I agree Mr Monroe. We should obey imagration laws. The problem ofcourse is the law is broken an no one is brave enough to fix it. Too many people sit idly by satisfied with the notion that they can say who belongs and who doesn’t.When the truth is we are all born citizens of this world should be born with the right to live our lives where ever we choose. That law ,I’m sad to say , will never pass as long as the government preferes to paint it’s self as a big fish in there little pond than the little fish in the bigger world picture.

I’m so sick of going to work and seeing all the illigeal aliens. The American People can’t even make a decent living due to them, they come here work for 7 to 8 dollars and hour, but people need to understand there are 15 to 20 of them living in one household.Yeah they can make it and our Goverment letting them open bussiness without having to pay taxes for 6 years. well that just like work if they fire them they come back useing another name. So all they have to do is change the name of the bussiness owner and another 6 years they’re tax free. I agree with the Sheriff and i stand behind him. He needs to start with the temp services cause as an american i have to show two Identafications and we know their are not legal or they just don’t ask for them. I could name a few companies that have alot of them working for them. But i’m sure the sheriff is aware of them also..KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! There is alot of Americans that stand with you

    An Open Letter To Congress

For too many years, Americans have sat back and let the people they have elected to office run this country. We have said “well, they seem to know what they are doing”. After all, we have to go to work, raise a family, pay bills, make dinner, and god forbid, we cannot miss our favorite television program. Then we look up from our busy lives and find that this great country we have entrusted to those “elected officials” has completely gone to hell in a hand basket.

This letter is being sent to inform those of you in Congress that those days are gone. And they are gone forever.

For the last two decades, you have allowed our laws not to be enforced, our borders not to be controlled, and the result is people who have no legal right to be in this country are marching in the streets by the tens of thousands making demands. Now you want to give into those demands - not this time. In the 1980’s, amnesty was given to millions of illegal people and this only opened the flood gates because our borders were not properly controlled.

The primary function of the Federal Government is to protect the sovereignty of these united states. You have failed to perform the primary task for which you were elected. You have forgotten that you are employees of the American people. This letter is your notice that if you do not do the job you were sent to perform, you will be replaced with someone who will complete this task.

Task number one - Close and control our borders. If it takes a fence, wall, airplanes, electronics, satellites, or National Guard members every fifty feet along our border, then DO IT.

Task number two - Enforce our employment laws. Set up a secure website tried into the social security database. Employers can log into this website using their employer tax ID and a password, input a name, social security number, and a date of birth to check current and future hires. If the information does not match, the person being checked cannot be hired or continued to be employed. Every quarter the employer should be required to recheck employees. If employers do not comply, enforce the current laws and prosecute them.

After you have entirely completed the above tasks or in five years - which ever comes first, then move on to the next.

Task number three - If those who are in this country illegally are not able to work, they will leave. Set up a temporary guest worker program that can only be applied for in other countries at our embassies or other approved places. Every person who applies will be thoroughly checked for good health, a criminal record in all countries, and any other standard which would apply.

Once a person is approved, they are given proper ID and paperwork which is then input into the social security database, which will expire after the temporary limit has been reached.

So members of Congress, these are your tasks. Remember we, your employer - the American people, are watching you and there is an election coming up soon. Will you do your job and continue being employed or will you be replaced - the choice is yours. And for those of you who do not have an election coming up soon, CAN YOU SAY RECALL ELECTION?

Isn’t America great, we all still have choices.
