The word’s still getting out!

Apparently, my message of immigration reform is still getting heard. Today, the New York Times published a piece about my stand on this issue which appeared in their newspaper and related website. So it appears my efforts to bring awareness to this issue are still working. You can read the story by clicking the link.

I could not agree more with your stand on the illegial alien problem. What I can’t understand is the attitude that seems to come from our so called representatives in Washington. It’s hard to believe our leaders don’t understand the meaning of “illegial”. Seems the harder I work, the more the “illegial” gets. I am sick and tired of it. One of the local citys here in PA just pasted an ordenance declaring English the official city language amoung other things. Hazelton PA is the city. Maybe you have heard of it. Keep up the good work.

Awesome work Sheriff Jones, sometimes people in this P.C. world are afraid to say what needs to be said. Companies that hire illegals are the key to the problem, and holding the companies accountable is the only feasible way to combat it, in my opinion. Good work!

Are you aware that in the 19th century it was legal to have slaves in this country? That’s right our laws allowed one person to own and brutalize another human being. And if the slaves ran away it was illegal to harbor them in a free state like Ohio or Pennsylvania. Would I ‘ve been a good citizen if I dogmatically obeyed these laws back then?

We also tried to oulaw liquor during the depression era because it was perceived as a horrible evil. The end result of that law was the creation and empowerment of organized crime through out the great lakes region. What I’m trying to illustrate is that not all of the laws that have existed, or those that currently exist, or those that will be enacted are built on a solid foundation of reasoning. In fact, it seems that a lot of our laws are hastily decreed during times of fear and panic. The idea of the National ID card is a great example. Initially it seemed liked a good idea but after further examination it became clear that it would result in a huge waste of tax payer dollars and it really wouldn’t solve any of our problems.

Furthermore, I feel that it’s irresponsible to lump the crime of “illegal immigration” in the same classification as drug smugglers, murderers, and child predators. Immigrants are just regular people trying to make a better living for their families. Sure they do talk different than us, their skin might be a little darker, and they have distinct customs (anybody that likes soccer is a little weird). But seriously, some of them are really good people. I hope that people can learn to destroy their personal biases and take the time to get to know some of them, it will be worth the effort.

Thank you for doing such a great job of protecting the sovereignty of United States citizens. Atleast, we know there is one Sheriff in town who cares about Americans, instead of ILLEGAL ALIENS. The majority of Americans I speak to about this crime of ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, feel totally betrayed by our elected U.S. officials. Just look who voted in the Senate for this amnesty for these illegal aliens. Senator Mike DeWine and Senator Voinivich voted for this reward of amnesty for these foreign criminals. Our Ohioan U.S. Senators are representing foreign illegals in our U.S. Congress, instead of the U.S. citizens who elected them. We feel as if this is pure unadulterated treason and will definately remember in November. The only time the mention of “ILLEGAL ALIEN” should be mentioned in our U.S. Congress, is when they are discussing, “when, where and how fast, they are going to deport each and every single one of them.”

ILLEGAL ALIENS are criminals, that have disrespected our Rule of Law and have disrespected all Americans. Thank you for seeing that and doing your best to help bring an end to this atrocity that is being committed against all U.S. citizens and our children.

    Thanks again,

    Suzie

    Sherriff:

You have along road ahead to shut off the flow of illegal immigration to your county. Keep you focus on the solution. You don not want the destruction of your american community. I am an American, Hispanic and I have witnessed the wholesale demise of the communties in LA where I grew up as a child. Today, I would not take my own child to these areas for fear of crime, drugs and gang related activities. The onslaught of services for medical, social, housing, education will drain your small community in less than 10 yrs and the illegal immigrant community migrates to your area. You will feell the pinch, if not already, if your american community does not make a concerned, and diligent effort to combat this issue.

I will you and your county the best of luck.

Yep, the word is still getting out! I am from NC and many, many people here know about the Sheriff of Butler. It makes me happy to know that Americans are standing up on this issue. We have had enough and we want that wall built and illegals deported. Thank you, Sheriff Jones, keep up the good work. We are hearing you!

One of the problems is the kids today don’t want to do the (low level) jobs we did when we were kids. They want to stay home and play with their play stations. I am from the Ohio area and when I was a kid we bailed Hay, delivered papers, anything we could do to make a buck. Today they won’t do they won’t even mow there own yards. I have been to the south western United States and haven seen what many would call an invasion. Since conditions in Mexico are almost as bad as sub Sahara Africa, many are fleeing that type of poverty to come here. The Administration as been obliging in looking the other way since many of the business community thinks we need these workers.

I just don’t understand why Mexico with all its resources cannot create jobs for them where they could make a living. NAFTA was supposed to help this by encouraging employers to move their factories to Mexico and hire these folks. However in the need to maximize profits for shareholders much of the new business is going to China.

Bottom line is we as a country needs to find a way to improve conditions in Mexico or else we will have a flood of economic refugees from all of South America, we cannot absorb that else we become the very thing that they flee.

Richard , just caught wind of your battle against illegals in butler County, and I’d like to say “well done” Sheriff. It never ceases to amaze me that our representatives in Gov. continue to completely ignore the majorities wish to ban and crack down on “ILLEGAL” aliens, what part of “ILLEGAL” do these idiots not understand ? Susie is exactly right this is nothing less than treason ! Proud to have a stand-up for what’s right kind of man like you in “LAW ENFORCEMENT” !

If you were to vote against Senator Mike DeWine and Senator Voinivich for a Democrat they would have voted the same way. I think they look at it as you really don’t have any good choices. I believe the only Democrat who voted against the Senate bill was Byrd from West Virginia( I question his motives). I think the best thing to do is beat McCain in the primaries We are getting (edited for content) by the elected officials in favor of the business community. Think of this if Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, and President Bush all agree on this that can’t bold well for us. If the Vice President holds secret energy meetings with the heads of Big Oil again it cant be good for us.

What we see is deliberate, its a part of a greater plan. These people aren’t stupid, nobody can be that inconfident unless they intend to be.

    Greetings from Mexihoma.
