Boycott Employers of Illegals!
All this talk about so-called “immgrants” staying home, not buying goods, or having rallies on May 1st got me thinking that maybe the rest of us should boycott county businesses that hire illegal aliens!
We can make statements too! Let’s all ask businesses “are you in the practice of hiring illegal immigrants?” And if they are, don’t do business with them! If they see that this practice is HURTING their businesses, maybe they’ll realize that maybe breaking the law for additional profit isn’t the wise thing to do!
I’m doing my part, county businesses that are known to hire illegal aliens should expect the type of raids that were executed at a business in Evendale earlier this week.
You know who you are, and we’re coming.
I think it is great that you can publicly, as an elected official, come out and say this.
I am from California, and our elected officials are hog-tied, as they don’t want to “offend” anybody.
Good for you!!!!!
ROCK ON!!!!
several of us are planning to meet in mount vernon wa on may first college way and riverside to carry signs in protest of the illegal aliens and the hands off treatment they receive from our goverment we want our elected officals to put the needs and desires of the voters first the people who gave them a job in the first place not Pres. Fox and his country men unless mexico is willing to send us aid to care for his citizens We hope every able bodyed american will protest for the americans who have fought and died to keep our country safe and free to keep it that way and not be invaded with out a fight thanks GOD BLESS AMERICA
I had the same idea…The question is how can we organize in order to make a impact.
One suggestion would be a website to post all verified reports. A place where registered members could report violating companies that they are aware of in their respective neighborhoods.
I’m just not sure if there are legal ramifications for that, though it ought not be considered defamatory to state the facts.
If such a site were viable and reports of infractions could be verified, I’m sure listed companies would want to see their names removed after they comply with existing laws.
Even though I live in KY, I think it’s great what Sheriff Jones is doing, and he should enforce the law. You in Butler County are lucky to have him. Illegal immigration affects everyone, and we need to take care of our citizens first.
I support boycotting business that are using illegals I do not go to restaurants that do. I have worked at several companies that do including (Moderated). I have removed my name from their employee rolls, I am afraid that illegals have access to others’ personal information in order to get fake ids so that they can stay here I can’t understand how they are getting brand new cars on minimum wage They don’t understand enough English to pass the driving exam As a matter of fact when I took the driving test in September 2004, I don’t recall seeing any illegals in the DMV I bet they don’t have license or insurance Are you listening all PD’s you could make mounds of money impounding their cars, jailing and fining them
WAY TO GO Sheriff Jones I support you all the way Keep on pressing if you should ever need help in this matter I will volunteer
Thank You Sherriff Jones-we are behind you 100% on this issue. It is about time that our public officials really say how they feel, and not say what they think some might want them to say. We need more of this across our country. I am most certainly in support of boycotting the businesses that hire illegals, I just wish we knew more of who they were so that we can avoid awarding them with our hard earned dollars. Thank you again and God Bless all that you are doing and God Bless America.
It appears to me that lately Hispanics are more American than so called real Americans. They work in jobs real Americans won’t do, some of those real Americans would rather collect welfare than work. If illegals want to work and we have jobs, let them work. All this talk about rounding them up etc. sounds more like Nazi Germany than the United States.
Thank you Sheriff Jones for doing something about the immigration problem. The ones that are felons and have criminal intentions DO NOT belong here. It is a huge drag on our system. Thanks again!
Thank you Sheriff! You are doing a public service for all of us.
TO those who believe that these are jobs that “Americans will not do,” how about canning all of the illegals, sending them back, and then having our able-bodied citizens on welfare and unemployment perform these jobs part time as a condition of receiving their checks?
None of us are against immigration. It is the “illegal” part that we are against. If the first thing you do upon entering our country is break a law, then you shouldn’t be here. Period. Go home.
Way to go Sheriff Jones. I have screamed about this for so long on deaf ears. Finally, someone is listening and someone is doing something about it. Our entire county is being invaded from within and all the Senators and even Bush just continue to open wide our doors. I get sick of hearing the talking heads and even some on this blog say they only come here to work and only take jobs Americans won’t do. I know better. I work in the medical field and have a friend in the Medicaid office. They come here to get free education, housing, food, medical care, and the list goes on and on and on. Woe to anyone who has an auto accident and is hit by one of them because the cops will tell you there is not one thing they can do and you must just report it to your insurance and suck it up. I for one am tired of it and applaud Sheriff Jones. Rock on!
do you think that putting a billboard up or boycotting businesses that hire illegal inmigrants is going to do something?…if you do think like that you are so wrong.
I think that inmigrants come to this country not to cause problems but looking for a better future for their families…i know that some of them do things that go against the law and they should be punished for it but what about the people who work hard doing maintenance, housekeeping, cooking, stuff that nobody else will do for low wages? What about those who’ve being here for more than 6 or 7 years, done nothing wrong, pay taxes, raise their familes, help the economy? what about their kids who were brought here when they were little and they feel this is their home, what about them???? do you think you have to deport everybody…that’s not right…i guess if you were in their shoes you wouldn’t think that way…at the end we are all inmigrants in this country if not us our ancestors were, and i don’t think they were here legally.
FYI: i think you are doing this for publicity only…why the need to put your picture on the billboard? or in the poster?…
I would just like to respond to Kari by saying that the majority of our ancestors did come here legally. They came here from Europe by boat and through Ellis Island. Are you not familiar with American History?

Is there any way we can do an organized national boycott of businesses that hire illegals? I am in NY state and want to get involved in helping here. I also want to make sure I target the right businesses. It looks like multiple businesses are hiring illegals here, but I am not sure.
“Kari”:
I am a second generation American. My heritage is Romanian on my father’s side and Serbian-Russian on my mother’s side. Both were first generation Americans and gladly shed their heritage to embrace the promise of this country, enduring abysmal childhoods as they endeavored to make their way through dire poverty. In his mere 49 years - without a high school education or a hand up - my father went from a son of an illiterate cafeteria worker to owning his own car dealership without violating a single law or taking one thin dime from the government. He was unequivocally American and that is the typical immigrant story referred to when speaking of America as ‘a land of immigrants.’
Only today do we have to remind the Clueless that stealing over the border, living on forged documents and raising your family - no matter how wholesome-on American welfare is a criminal’s “success” story - not an American one.
There is no “American Dream” without respect for America’s laws and if those laws continue to be violated by self-serving activists and spineless politicians, there will be no American dream left.
Middle America needs a third, fourth, fifth political party. Neither the Democratic or Republican party represent us any more. We have to get rid of the individuals in office who no longer listen to their constitutients.
We have to recognize that employers who hire illegal immigrants sabotage this country and are traitors. WE MUST SHOW THEM OUR ECONOMIC CLOUT.
Nazi America in Butler county.
Yeah! We have to start doing something, Since our government does not care. We must save our own country. YES! Boycotting these employers I think would help. If the Employers are caught the Illegals will not have jobs. They will see we have control. Good idea when you find a store to boycott. Send Flyers out so who ever wants to join. OR do What he minuitemen are doing put signs Big Signs in the town. God Bless You all.

I think ilegally answers it all, it is not corret. But also people living here in the US and contribute to our country’s improvement do deserve a chance. I myself am a descendant from latin americans, and I think this is wrongfully directed to mexicans and southamericans when a lot of the illegal inmigration is coming from asia and some from europe. Do you think the same measures would be taken if all aliens would be european?
I think it is great that an ELECTED official finally has the guts to stand up and say what should have been said a long, long time ago, about illegals. Now, think about this: What if Congress were to enact a law that said any person caught coming across the borders illegally would be documented, fingerprinted, photographed, and sent back, with a period of exclusion of no less than 5 years? If you think that would be alright, I go further. Any illegal who attempts to cross another time, and is on the exclusion list, faces having that exclusion period doubled. EACH TIME! Now I think that would stop, if not slow down, the flood of illegals. Unfortunately, I think that there is nothing that can be done about the illegals already in the country, as it would probably be “too expensive” in the eyes of our government to do anything about it. But, that is just my beliefs. Feel free to respond. Keep up the good work, Sheriff Jones.
We attended an Illegal Rally in Odgen, Utah. My husband and I had to be taken out by police as the crowd became dangereous…I’m 54, my husband 59. Unbeknownst to us two women had protested earlier and one had been brutally beaten, dislocated shoulder and 17 stiches to her face. None of this was reported in the news, only a great rally with no incidents…check this out and be shocked….

I heard that Perdue, Cargill and Tyson Foods closed on May 1 because of the demonstrations. The actions of these national companies show that they hire illegal aliens. In 1980, the average hourly wage of a meat cutter was $19. Today it is $9. It is the wealthy and corporate America who benefit from illegal aliens. The illegal aliiens are exploited by the wealthy and corporations and the middle class pays for it via reduced wages and government benefits that are used by illegal aliens.
I am personlly not buying anything from Perdue, Cargill or Tyson Foods. None of these companies will miss my dime but I cannot in clear conscience support their policies.
It’s great!! We hope you have many followers everywhere!!!!
Sheriff Jones has the guts to do what needs to be done!! When are you going to run for President? You’ve got my vote, along with many other people I know. It might not be P.C. to say it, but this country is ours and until ALL illegal aliens (not just Hispanic) follow the path to citizenship like our ancestors did they have no business being here. Both major political parties are guilty of enabling these aliens to stay. It’s time the majority of REAL Americans stand up and say enough is enough!
I would like to respond to ken. You are obviously familar with american history. You purposely pick a time when laws of citazenship were made by a government that was created by illegal aliens.Who came over on a boat from eroupe that lied, cheated, and killed the people of this land. Perhaps the mexican immigrants have learned the truth. To be american steal what you want and make it yours.
I heard from the so called “Rally” that day business only lost about 4% in sales while shop lifting dropped off 68%???
So seems the retailers weren’t hurt at all but made out.
Sheriff Brown, you are great and I am glad you are speaking out. My problem is I dont know who to vote for this november. I live in the part of Butler county that is in district 2 - I didnt really want to vote for Jean Schmidt again, but I would like to reward the house republicans who are standing up to the president and the senate on this amnesty for illigals bill. The crazy democrats are all so soft on immigration. Who is the lesser of evils in Ohio?
Have you checked out the flea markets in Monroe lately? I’m sure there are more illegal immigrants there than there are legal ones! It’s quite a culture shock.
