Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones has sent a letter today to Enrique Pena Nieto, President of Mexico, via the Mexican Embassy in Washington, D.C. In his “Open letter to Officials of Mexico,” Jones outlines some of the financial burdens being faced by local tax payers due to the influx of Mexican Nationals who violate local laws here in Butler County after they illegally entered the United States. Sheriff Jones believes that local taxpayer costs for dealing with these crime-committing illegals has easily run into the millions of dollars over the last 10 years. His letter, copy attached, ends with the Sheriff stating, “…I think it only fair that you provide me with some financial support for dealing with your criminals.”
